About Aminata

The cornerstone of Aminata Jalloh's career has been helping others and making life easier for those around her.

A former international development professional, Aminata has worked in 12 countries, including Sierra Leone during the world's largest Ebola outbreak, where she played a pivotal role in establishing a national distance learning program. Her diverse background in economics, education, and product management equips her to develop tools and digital products in both emerging and mature markets.

Aminata is currently a Senior Product Manager at Amazon, where she leads the product development and roadmap for the world's largest indie publishing tool that enables authors around the world to tell and publish their stories. Aminata is a public speaker and frequently discusses the intersections of technology and global development, women in technology and the power of social impact.

In her free time, Aminata writes children's books, mentors, and spends time with her family and friends. Aminata has always been passionate about formal and continuing education. She has a master's degree in Economic Planning, International Development, and Educational Planning from University College London. She also holds a post-graduate certificate in Project Leadership from Cornell University and a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Aminata is an accredited Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Manager.
